Agionorio Castle

If you feel like mountaineering and history exploration, you should visit the Castle of Agionorio. It is located in the center part of Eastern Corinth, between Argolida and Corinth, and played an important role in the battle of Dervenakia in the Greek Revolution. Going up to the castle, you can feel the greatness of the battle while a fantastic area is spread in front of you.

The castle was built in the late Byzantine era by the Franks at an altitude of 680 meters. Its peculiarity is that its wall was created in such a way as to protect 5 different towers. Today, 2 three-storey towers are preserved, with the walls showing a slight inclination towards the inside, to the courtyard of the castle.
