
Corinth Honored Apostle Paul
On May 17 & 18, 2025, the city of Corinth became the focal point of a remarkable cultural and religious tribute titled “In the Footsteps of Apostle Paul”, organized by the Municipality of Corinth in collaboration with the Network of Cities of Apostle Paul.
Saturday, May 17 – Guided Tour and Digital Presentation at the Archaeological Site
The first day began with a guided tour to key historical and religious landmarks in the Municipality of Corinth that are directly linked to Apostle Paul’s presence and preaching:

The Bema of Apostle Paul, where he addressed the Corinthians with his teachings,

The Archaeological Site of Ancient Corinth, a landmark of classical heritage and spiritual significance,
-
The Port of Kechries, a vital departure point in the Apostle’s journeys.
In the evening, a central event was held at the Archaeological Site of Ancient Corinth, titled “Following in the Footsteps of Apostle Paul”. This was an innovative presentation using digital technology that brought the Apostle’s journeys across the Eastern Mediterranean to life.
The event included interactive presentations and culminated with the official unveiling of the project “Following Apostle Paul” by Professor Sotiris Despotis of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, who emphasized the growing importance of religious tourism and the strategic interconnection of cities along the Apostle’s route.
Sunday, May 18 – Church Service and Memorandum of Understanding
The second day began with a church service at the Metropolitan Church of Apostle Paul in Corinth, symbolizing spiritual unity and continuity.
From 11:00 to 12:30, a Roundtable Discussion was held in the Municipal Council Hall, with the participation of mayors and representatives from cities connected to Apostle Paul’s journey across Greece.
The meeting concluded with the official signing of a Memorandum of Understanding to initiate intermunicipal collaboration for the development of the “Apostle Paul Route”, marking the foundation of the Network of Cities of Apostle Paul.

The Memorandum of Understanding sets the foundation for joint actions in the promotion of cultural and religious tourism, as well as the networking and exchange of expertise among participating cities, with the ultimate goal of positioning the Apostle Paul Route on both national and international levels.
The day concluded with a farewell lunch, closing the event in a warm and celebratory atmosphere.
