Agionorio Castle

If you have an appetite for mountaineering and history, then you should visit the Castle of Agionori. It is located in the center of East Corinth, between Argolida and Corinth, and played an important role in the Battle of Dervenaki in the Greek Revolution. Going up to the castle, the grandeur of the battle, but also of the area, spreads in front of you.

It was built in the late Byzantine era by the Franks at an altitude of 680 meters. Its peculiarity is that its wall was created in such a way as to protect 5 different towers. Today, 2 towers, three-storey, are preserved, with the walls slightly sloping inwards, the courtyard of the castle.
