All summer festivals
Every year, Corinth held two major trade festivals, each lasting a month and a half. Foreigners from all over the world came to shop at these festivals. But even when the Franks later conquered Corinth, these festivals did not stop. From all parts of Greece, the Greeks started to find themselves in Corinth, to sell or buy. So when others asked them where they were going, they replied, “We’re for the festivals.” A phrase that lasts for thousands of years.
Nowadays, observing the customs and traditions, in Corinth and in its villages many festivals take place in churches and chapels. Don’t miss the opportunity to visit one of these summers.
