Corinth Honors Saint Paul with Paulia 2026
Corinth, one of the most significant stops along the journey of Saint Paul and a destination of special importance for religious tourism in Greece, once again pays tribute to the Apostle of the Nations through Paulia 2026, the established institution of the Holy Metropolis of Corinth.
The events will take place from June 13 to June 30, 2026, highlighting Corinth’s profound connection with the life, teachings, and legacy of Saint Paul, who lived, preached, and taught in the ancient city nearly two thousand years ago.
Corinth at the Heart of the Pauline Routes
A key feature of this year’s Paulia celebrations is the gathering of the Network of Cities of Saint Paul, an initiative founded in Corinth with the aim of connecting cities associated with the life and missionary journeys of the Apostle of the Nations.
During the meeting, Mayors and representatives of the participating cities will exchange views and discuss joint initiatives and future collaborations to further promote the Pauline Route as an international network of culture, history, and religious tourism.
As the place where Saint Paul lived, preached, and composed part of his work, Corinth continues to attract visitors from around the world seeking to discover the locations connected to his presence and teachings.
A Special Opening in Ancient Corinth
The celebrations begin on Saturday, June 13, with the working meeting of the Network of Cities of Saint Paul at Corinth City Hall, followed by a visit to the Ancient Port of Cenchreae, a site closely linked to Saint Paul’s journey in the region.
Later that evening, at 20:00, the cultural event “In the Footsteps of Saint Paul” will take place against the backdrop of the iconic Temple of Apollo in Ancient Corinth. The evening will continue with the musical performance “The Apostle of the Nations” by the De Profundis Ensemble, organized in collaboration with the Municipality of Corinth.
Held within one of Greece’s most important archaeological sites, the event brings together culture, history, and the spiritual heritage of the region.
